Understanding Ways of Pruning and how they can be of any good

Every tree needs proper pruning and proper pruning needs the right person to do it. Why? Improper pruning can expose trees to pest and diseases, stimulate lose and poorly branches. Pruning trees is not just cutting of branches; pruning trees is removing dead, damaged, diseased trees. Well as a matter of fact, it is not just removing, we need to prune our trees to improve and maintain its health, reducing from falling branches, nursery of specimens for transplanting and both harvesting and increasing the yield or quality and fruits.

Maybe others didn’t know all about it so here are few things to understand and we must get familiar with. There are two types of pruning, cuts removal and reduction. A removal cut is used to remove an entire branch. This cut is suggested and best for trees health and structure. The other one is the reduction cut. It is use to shorten a branch, it reduces the size of a tree, often for clearance for utility lines. Reducing the height or spread of a tree is best accomplished by pruning back the leaders and branch terminals to lateral branches that are large enough to assume the terminal roles (at least one-third the diameter of the cut stem).

It may come new to us but once we understand its importance to our environment and safety we can work together as one. Our goal is to educate others and give them the right service needed. Aside from pruning, we have shaping, site evaluations, long term tree care, maintenance plans, selective logging, and many others.

Few related topics regarding tree care services are to be followed so you don’t have to worry on what care and insights are suited for you.  These insights can surely help every one of us.

The beginning of Northern Lakes Tree Service all started back in 1993 when I decided that I wanted to work for myself and be outdoors. With a couple of husky chainsaw’s and well used climbing gear I managed to scrape together, along with my old 1956 Ford two ton truck that wasn’t very pretty but got the job done, I began doing tree service around the area. This is when we learned the art of “Low Impact Tree Removal.” Simply put, it’s how to work around and at the same time Protect Landscaping, Lawns ,Driveways and Walkways and every other obstacle in or around a yard without damaging anything. Because as you know people work hard on their lawns and landscaping and don’t want to see it carelessly damaged or destroyed when tree service is being done.
